Currently downloading Unreal Engine 4.9.2, can someone tell me what this entails? And will I be able to open game files by downloading this?
What would you like to do with UE4? UE4 is a tool for creating games, you import assets like 3D models, textures, and animations into UE4 and the software allows you to create game levels and gameplay.
This will allow you to open projects and convert them to version 4.9 if they are of a different project version.
Unreal is software for making games. If you look at this video pageand view the basics video series that’ll get you started.
It wont allow you to open game files from other games (+ you are not allowed to do this) -> so the UE4 is here to create own games, arch viz scenes, simulations, movies, VR stuff,…
