New to Unreal...Looking for suggestions/help on Process

Hello World!

Hi! I’m an old school 3D Artist/ Industry Refugee (LOL! since the 90s). I’m still doing product design and modeling so a pretty familiar with 3D ideas/ principals (Ik, Nurbs, animation with splines, etc).

Recently I got pull into a project where I need to use Move AI to capture motion and then retarget it to a Ball Joint Model and combine that with some of the stock walking and running cycles available to compare them.

As I’m learning how UE works and getting the basic nav of the app, my goal is to have an efficient work flow that makes accessing and editing fairly easy.

What I’m looking for is advice on procedure/ workflow for something like this…In my experience, every app is set up to do things in specific ways and I would love if anyone would be kind enough to give me some ideas on how they would do this; like what would be the optimal process, simply capture and retarget the info after the rigging? Is there a way to adjust proportions? I’m just getting started so any question or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!
