New to UE5 - Texture Streaming Pool Issue - RTX 4080 - Seeking Advice

Hello Everyone,

I’m running into an issue with my Unreal Engine 5 project where I keep receiving a “Texture streaming pool over budget” error, even though I’m using an Nvidia RTX 4080 graphics card with 16 GB of VRAM. I discovered a potential solution by entering r.streaming.poolsize 3000 in the command prompt, but I’m concerned about larger maps that I’m planning to create.

I’m wondering if anyone could offer any advice or suggestions for optimizing the project settings or making any other changes that could prevent this error from occurring in the future. I’d like to avoid having to use lower quality textures or make other significant compromises that could impact the overall quality of the project.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.

Best regards,

Stephen

In regards to the texture stream oversized pool error its not just you its everyone useing the new Unreal engine 5.0 and up. Epic has been notified of this on going issue. Unreal engine 5.2 as epic mention will correct this issue as its just a technical glitch and not really an actual concern especially you having the 40 series rtx with 16 gigs of vram you practically fine however if you do wish to make your game more stable i suggest you use the world partition and enable level streaming as this will improve fps and gameplay for pcs under the specifications that you have on your current pc.

It’s fine; the default is just way too small.
Set it to 8000 even, if you’re aiming for modern cards

same issue is happening with me too, is there any solution, my 4070 is super 16gb
