New to Twinmotion – Questions on Materials, Splitting Objects, and 3D Assets

Hi everyone,

I’m new to this community and also pretty new to Twinmotion in general. I’m creating my models in Revit and then exporting them into Twinmotion for visualization. I’m still figuring out some workflows and was hoping to get advice on a few things:

  1. Applying color/paint only to part of an object
    – Right now, whenever I change the material of something in Twinmotion, it updates the entire object. Is there a way to apply color or paint just to a single surface/face instead of the whole object?

  2. Splitting objects in Twinmotion
    – Sometimes I need to give different finishes/colors to different areas of the same wall or object. Is there any tool in Twinmotion to “split” or separate objects for this purpose, or do I need to handle this before exporting from Revit?

  3. Getting good quality 3D objects online
    – What’s the best way to bring in furniture, people, or other entourage? Are there preferred websites (like Sketchfab, BIMobject, etc.) that integrate well with Twinmotion?

Thanks in advance for any advice. Looking forward to learning from this community!
