New Mesh-to-Metahuman not preserving exact mesh shape?

Hello gurus! Have been loving the new Metahuman Animator capabilities - truly amazing. Have a question about the new Mesh-to-Metahuman process: from my understanding the new process maintains the shape of the custom mesh exactly, vs. the old one which would approximate the shape. I may be doing something wrong, but I’m finding the SKM that is generated inside the engine locally does maintain the shape, but the same Metahuman Identity inside Metahuman Creator running in the browser does not. Inside MHC, the shape is similar to the approximated version from the older process. Any ideas why?

Note: I’m also seeing for some meshes, the eyes do not locate themselves correctly, i.e. they pop outside of the sockets etc. I know this can be fixed by reducing the custom mesh eye influences inside MHC, but is there something I should do differently running Mesh-to-Metahuman to prevent it?
