I’ve made a simple mod just adding a “currency” item since the existing trading/shopping mods didn’t fit the demands of the server I play on.

Me and a friend tried it in single player before taking it on the server and the item worked just fine until we restarted and the item was gone.
I was basically following Kayd’s guide though I copied fiber (since it is a dropped item without engrams and no consumable, seemed quite fitting) and made sure it can’t be used for crafting. Also of course, I skipped the part where he makes an engram. It is pretty much just a new item in the Master Item List.
Has anyone any idea how this could happen?

did you forcesave teh server before shutting it down? it only saves at certain intervals, if you log in spawn it and then before the interval passes shut the server down you lose everything in game.
I just assumed that would always happen when shutting down since it took forever. Used the command saveworld before shutting it down and still it disappears.
(FYI I only tested it in SP so far but I can’t imagine that a broken mod in SP would work on a server lol)
