I applied for some products for the Holiday Sale, but I looked and they are sold without a discount!
I did not change the standard price, but since my product was recently transferred from the Unreal Marketplace, I had to edit it so that the product was transferred from the “Draft” column.
When you leave the second price column in the draft blank, the application cannot be sent for review. Here is an example in the screenshot!
Your Holiday Sale terms include this clause:
“Only products whose price has not changed from November 23, 2024 to the start of the Holiday Sale are eligible for the Holiday Sale. If the price of a product (at any price level) changes after November 23, 2024, it will no longer be included in the holiday sale.”
I did not change the price that was on the first level! I had nothing set on my products on the second price level, so I did NOT change the price of the product, I only SET it in the first place!
A price change is when you change the numbers inside a numerical value, but when the price is set for the first time from NOTHING, then it is not a price change, because how can something sell for a non-numeric value?
On the contrary, I edited the document for your FAB so that later I would not sue the buyers of the Second level when they use my products for their own purposes!
But then I got the answer that killed me: “Changing the title or description is not something that we allow on Fab at this time to reflect a “sale”.”
Authors wait for the New Year’s sale all year long, because it is the only one that brings the maximum profit. As a result, I lost a whole year, only because the FAB service does not meet me halfway on this problem(((
FAB sales are broken.
Many sellers were not invited. They had assets which had no price changes and which weren’t discounted on Black Friday. They opt-in to receive promo emails from FAB, but still didn’t get an invitation to the sale.
It’s weird to see many sellers who regularly had sales on UE marketplace, but weren’t on sale neither on Black Friday nor on Holiday sale.
Hi folks. We’re currently working on improving how sales work and also improving transparency around what gets accepted for the sale and what doesn’t (and why). For now, if you have questions about why something may not have been accepted for a sale, please contact support (https://support.fab.com/s/?ProductOrigin=FabSupport).
I’ll take your feedback to the team, as it will help us ensure that any changes we make are improvements to your experience on Fab.
For the time being, if you are opted in to Fab marketing emails, you should get an invite when the emails go out, but in some cases spam filters may catch the emails or the emails may bounce for whatever reason.
When we send the email out, we also post the invite to the Publishers Hub section of the forum so that even those who might not be opted in to get the email can fill out the survey to participate. If you have completed onboarding as a Fab publisher, you should have access to the Publishers Hub forum category.
I wrote to support five times and each time FAB feeds me only with apologies and offers to participate in future sales. And that’s it! No individual approach to product authors, no interchangeable promotions.
In the last letter, support wrote to me that it turns out that nothing can be changed at all in the product, even the name and description, if it is already registered for the sale. What kind of nonsense is this? On Unreal Marketplace it was possible to do this, but on FAB it is not!
But I receive many messages from other authors that their same assets were able to participate in both sales in December at once!
For example, this author: https://www.fab.com/ru/sellers/IdaFaber
What does this look like? It seems to me that these are double standards! And FAB could help me and analyze my case individually!
I hope for understanding, because the authors are not millionaires, but ordinary workers who are fed by promotions, where they sell their goods for next to nothing.
I received a response from support: “Unfortunately, setting a price for another license tier is the same as changing the price of an existing license tier. Due to the addition of a new license tier price, these products were not able to be included in this sale.”
Why does FAB cancel a sale on products that changed their price after the product was registered? So that the seller does not deceive the buyer with an inflated price for a product that was much cheaper before the sale!
But my intention was not to deceive the buyer, my intention was to set the Second Level price so that the Product Card would be filled out correctly. This happened after my products were transferred from Unreal Marketplace to the FAB platform at the end of November without the Second Level price!
But I repeat again that I DIDN’T CHANGE the price, I SET it for the first time. These are different things!
For example: When you get a new job (any) in December and start receiving your salary, you can’t complain to your boss that you received a much higher salary in November! Because you only got a job in December and this is your first salary!
So the FAB company claims that I changed the price of the Second level from Nothing, not even from a numerical value, here is a screenshot again of the columns where the price is not indicated at all. And most importantly, if you go to edit such a product, you will not be able to exit from there, since FAB requires you to set at least some price!
As a result, it turns out that FAB took away my participation in the New Year’s sale because I could not exit Editing a product (the mechanics of which FAB itself made) without indicating at least some amount. An example in the screenshot.
Who is right in the end, me or FAB? Dear forum participants, I ask you to make a decision!
