I have been purchasing a few items from the marketplace sine let me add to my project and some create a project of their own. The reason I purchased the items was to use in my project can anyone point me to how to adds them to my project not create a new one
If I understand your question correctly, you have bought a few marketplace items but can’t figure out how to add them to an existing project instead of opening a whole new one.
If this is the case, this thread [DEPRECATED] Marketplace FAQ and Guidelines - Marketplace - Epic Developer Community Forums has the answer to that question and a few others you might have. I’ve copied the section of the thread that pertains to your question below:
Q: The library in the launcher has a button for [content] which says ‘Add to project’ but when clicked it shows a dialog to create a project. I was hoping to see a dialog to add [content] to a project. How do I do this?
A: This is not a feature we currently have in our launcher. However, you are able to create your project and migrate the files manually.
Step 1: Create the project you wish to work on.
Step 2: Open the project file you wish to migrate (ex. SuperGrids)
Step 3: Right click on the asset you wish to migrate and select “Migrate”
Step 4: Select Okay and the Project you wish to migrate the files to.
Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction
Sorry, it’s not clear what you stuck on. (I’m confused by the word “sine”).
If you have bought something in the Marketplace, you have to download them, which you do from the item page in the Marketplace tab.
Once you have done this, they will be held in the Vault. (Underneath your projects in the Library tab).
You can (usually) just press the Add to project button, and the editor will ask you which project you want to add the product to. Select that project, and you have the items available.
