I do not know what to do. I’m trying to import an animation in fbx to unreal but it doesn’t play the animation. I’m really about to throw in the towel
Okay, that’s not a lot of info, but you can try and answer these if possible, that may help to narrow down the issue.

Did you try to import the FBX in your DCC application of choice(Blender, Maya, Max, etc, preferably in an empty scene)? Does it actually contain the animation if you do that?
-
Do you have “import animation” checked when importing the FBX and does Unreal actually create the animation sequence?
-
Is the correct skeleton assigned to the animation sequence in unreal?
I have already achieved it heh, it was a topic of how to animate the bones in the original program, thanks
I have the same problem. I imported FBX into Blender but nothing worked. I tried to make an animated model like on DevotedCG, but that was not successful. The FBX originally contains animation, but it disappears when you transfer it. I would be glad if you could help me.
I fixed it, it was just a bone problem. had to respect exactly the bone of the original base, with its kinship
