Hey Rod! Congratulations for your plugin! I switched recently to Windows 11 and the plugin working in UE 5.5 very good. It’s fast and stable. I installed the latest SDK and Runtime, and updated the drivers in the Device Manager. I want to notice here that needs a dedicated USB hub to remain stable without disconnecting loop. Meaning that if it’s in PC is preferred to connecting to the front inputs, and if it’s in Laptop is preferred to connecting to the side of the One USB, or even better in the USB-C input with an adapter (no cable adapter).
Under those instructions the Kinect remain connected for hours without any interruption. Even the prerecorded videos are very stable.
I Hope to keep it updated in the future UE versions because the Kinect 2 still rocking.
I make a power cable hacking to my Kinect to release it from its heavy power adapter, and set it capable to connect with longer USB cable. Im using a 5 meter cable now.

Hello, i was trying to get the plugin to wirk on Unreal Engine 5.6.1 and after installing it i always the error message:” Plugin ‘NeoKinectUnreal’ failed to load because module ‘NeoKinectUnreal’ could not be loaded. There may be an operating system error or the module may not be properly set up.” To you how to fix this issue?
You need to install the Kinect 2.0 SDK in your system
can this plugin suitable for Orbbec Femto Bolt or Microsoft Azure Kinect ?
Please, describe what kind of help you need. Are you having problems? Are you trying to do something specific? Something else?
I don’t know about Orbbec Femto Bolt, but the plugin is not compatible with Microsoft Azure.
If the Orbbec Femto uses the Kinect v2 runtime/drivers/SDK, it should work with the plugin, because the device is likely presenting itself as a Kinect v2 to Windows. Install the Kinect v2 SDK and see if the samples run fine. If they do, I believe the plugin would work, as it uses the same Kinect API as those samples.
