I downloaded a blood decal from Quixel Bridge, and I am trying to change the color of the blood into a brown color. I want the blood to look like old blood. Any pointers on how I can change the color to brown? If need any screenshots or additional information, I will provide.
Hey there @LonelyBox! So there’s a ton of different ways you could go about this. If you want it to be a bit more temporary you could go to the Material Instance and tick on the albedo changes and set the color how you’d like as well as it’s intensity. However, the original dark red blood is a bit hard to manipulate this way so if you can’t get the color you want, you may have to go and adjust the texture.
If you go the texture adjustment route, you can go down to adjustments in the texture’s details and set the hue to roughly 15 or so then play with the brightness until you get the brown shade you need.
Then the more complex method would be making a change in the master material, which isn’t recommended for new users as this master is used for all of quixel’s decals and you may cause problems on one down the line if you make a mistake.
Thanks for the help!!!
