Hey everyone!
The main problem is screen flickering.
Please, take a look at the video below.
I had to use my smartphone to record it, because when I try to make a record of my screen using different software they actually do not show the problem.
I am currently working on a project in UE5 and at some point I noticed that this flickering happens in about ± 5 minutes after I turn on Ray Traced reflections and Ray Tracing Translucency. Sometimes it takes more time or less to start flickering.
But the most interesting thing about this flickering is that I also started noticing it in Battlefied 1 game - the only game I ever played on this PC.
As far as I now there are no specfic settings for Ray Tracing features in this game and I actually use the default graphic settings. I guess, this game does not support Ray Tracing at all.
My PC:
CPU - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-13700K 3.40 GHz
RAM - 64,0
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super - Palit.
OS - Windows 11.
The computer was assembled 5 months ago and all the components have a valid warranty.
The seller said that before sending the PC to their office I can try to carry out different tests at home in order to be 100% sure that the problem really exists.
I ran the following:
- Free tests:
- FurMark (older version).
- Superposition Benchmark.
- Paid 3dMark tests:
- Speed Way - Ray tracing benchmark for high-end gaming PCs.
- Port Royal - Ray tracing benchmark for graphics cards.
- DirectX Raytracing feature test.
- Steel Nomad - Cross-platform, non-raytraced benchmark for high-
end gaming PCs.
By the way, during these paid tests my PC works even quieter than when I use Ray tracing features inside UE5.
It’s very strange, but during all of the mentioned above tests the flickering wasn’t noticed by me.
Steps taken:
- Changed DP cable
- Changed DP ports
- Installed diferrent versions of gpu drivers (including older versions).
I haven’t tried reinstalling Windows 11 OS, because I am not sure whether it’s a good option or not.
Any advice on the current issue would be much appreciated!
