I can’t give you the final answer, but I can tell you it’s a LOD problem.
The last LOD on the MS grass is pretty awful, and has shadowing problems.
The easy solution is to bin the last LOD, and enable distance fade on the mesh in the material. You can’t have it going all the way to the horizon anyway, otherwise nobody will be able to play the game
Yes! It worked! It was, as you suggested, at the slight cost of some performance though. But it’s good enough for now, I’ll try to find a better material (or maybe quixel fixes it?) further on in development
