Need help with basic (forced) player movement

I am definitely a newbie when it comes to Unreal, and I’m having trouble with something that should be completely easy and I can’t figure out why.

Here’s the scenario:

In the game I am creating, I am having it that when the player overlaps a certain area, the game takes control of them (disabling inputs) and moves the character to a specific location (i was trying a target point). There’s wall in the way, so they will need to be able to navigate through the map around the walls.

And yet, I can’t get it to move. I’ve used the default First Person level and haven’t made any changes to the actual character. I’ve tried overlapping trigger boxes, I’ve cast to the player controller, i’ve gotten the player character and the location of the target point, but nothing seems to be working.

Try using Get Player Pawn instead of Get Player Character
