Need help getting started

I have recently installed Epic Game Launcher, as well as Unreal Engine 4.16.2 on my Macbook Pro OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. My problem is that when I open Epic Game Launcher and try to launch the Unreal Engine so that I can see a Project Menu it takes me back to my Desktop screen. I have tried uninstall/reinstall as well as trying the Unreal Launcher 4.15 but had the same issue. Any help or even more information on the issue would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this post is in the wrong area, I am new to this forum and would appreciate any help that could be provided. Thanks for your time.

Try upgrading OSX

I will try upgrading to OS X Sierra 10.12.5 and see if that works. Thank you

That took care of my issue, thank you for the info. I wish the OS X updates were viewable from the Mac app store but I was not able to find them there.

The app store should tell you that updates are available with the latest version of OSX at the top of the page where it shows your updates
