Hello Epic Community,
I’m facing a challenge with building Unreal Engine projects in Visual Studio due to NuGet security errors. Recently, we had to upgrade our engine when NuGet package updates weren’t compatible with our version, which isn’t always feasible under tight deadlines. Our project isn’t public yet, and we need a reliable way to keep building for investor demos, even if security warnings pop up.
Issue Summary: Sometimes, Visual Studio stops our build because of NuGet package security issues. While most updates work fine, a recent one required an engine upgrade, disrupting our schedule.
What I’m Looking For: Does anyone know how to tweak Visual Studio or project settings to ignore these security warnings temporarily? We need to ensure our build goes smoothly, especially with critical presentations on the line.
Specific Questions:
- Are there settings or modifications to bypass specific NuGet security errors during builds?
- Any tips on managing these situations without upgrading Unreal Engine?
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for helping us find a smoother way forward!
Cheers,
