Need for GPU replacement

Hi there! Newbie to RC.

I ’ ve already tested 700 photos with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and  Nvidia 860 gtx in other computers. Although the 860 gtx is older, it ended in a mesh; the gtx 1070 was freezing the processing after 12 hours.

I currently have a  <Saphire vga radeon pulse RX 580 8G,  8GB/256BIT, GDDR5> which is not able to support reconstruction and further processing (just alignment). May someone provide an idea for an equivalent or similar nvidia GPU?

I ve thought of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB OC. Any feedback about it?

Hi Phillip,

            RC mainly uses CPU in calculations, with a bit of GPU in meshing texturing and also GPU for the viewports. I can’t really comment on specific cards, but GPUs with 6gb of VRAM or above will display 40million triangles in the viewport. So you may want to go up to 8gb to future proof in case we increase this limit.
