Need feed back or code review

Are there any Senior Developers or groups that make themselves available to review/provide feedback on blueprints? I’m working on a blueprint that generates a house floor plan procedurally but I’ve only been working with Unreal Engine for a year and I’m curious of I am doing anything stupid or well or if there are places I can optimize.

At first - nothing is stupid. In UE4 there are always loads of ways to do the same thing - and generally speaking “if it works it’s legit”. There’s nearly always room for improvement.

If you’re getting extreme then you can also use the profiler to measure the speed of your functions.

Keep in mind that the compiled version will usually run significantly faster than in the editor. Also there’s the possibility to compile blueprints to c++ when cooking - which also speeds up stuff a lot. So if performance is on the edge that’s something you can do rather easily. Otherwise check the blueprints, make stuff easier, avoid “onTick” whenever possible, find nodes that are more effective.

If it’s a small snippet of a blueprint there will always be someone willing to comment.

Not sure “code auditing” is a service thats on offer here. Maybe you can try asking some of the members here though as a personal favor or something

I was just trying to get a feeling if there were any experienced developers that liked to do this kind of stuff. I’m going to see if anyone takes an interest on twitter.
