I was trying to capture high-quality groomed hair using Groom, but I observed a strange phenomenon.
This difference occurred when using the same nDisplayConfig, while gradually moving the DefaultViewPoint away from the display screen (effectively narrowing the field of view).
For comparison, I also resized the groomed cat, the screen, and the viewpoint while maintaining the same relative proportions between them.
The results were as follows:
・At the same size, the farther the distance, the thicker the hair appears.
・Even when maintaining the same proportions, larger overall sizes result in finer (more detailed) hair rendering.
This can be particularly observed by focusing on the back of the head.
I discovered this phenomenon using nDisplay, but it might also occur with a regular camera setup.
Has anyone managed to solve this issue?
What I’ve already tried:
・ Enabled Never Cull Distance
・ Verified that Geometry Type is set to Strands
・Confirmed number of LODs is 0
・ Set both LodSync:NumLODs and ForcedLOD to 0
・Switched LOD Mode to Manual
