navmeshboundvolume on non manifold?

i have a doom wad of an interior level → obj → blender → fbx → unreal.

i try to add a navmeshboundsvolume on the floor, the editor always crashes.

i know the map is old doom non-manifold stuff so is that the root problem here? how can i debug? thanks!

hm might not have been the non/manifoldness, might have been something else. i turned off the editor preference to always update the navigation mesh automagically e.g. when anything is moved in the editor, and that seems to have side-stepped the crashes at least.
