Navmesh doesn't work in new level

Hello, sorry if this is a dumb quesion, but I’ve looked almost everywhere and I can’t seem to find anything to help me fix this problem.

I can’t get the Navmesh Bounds Voume to work in this new level I’ve created. It works in the default 3rd Person Map. Is there some kind of setting I have to change?

Again sorry if this is a dumb quesion.

Hey @Autumn_Murine! Welcome to the forums!

So a few things:

Press “P” to show navmesh. It’ll show as a green layer at the most basic form.

Make sure the surface is completely within the volume.

Make sure the cube has collision.

Go check that stuff and get back with us!

Hi, thanks for responding. The “P” is pressed, it isn’t showing green for some reason, and I have “BlockAll” on Collision Presets if that was what you were talking about.

Oh definitely don’t have a collision on the navmesh volume.

I mean the surface you want to put the navmesh on needs to have collision! It probably doesn’t if no green is showing up and it’s inside the NavmeshBoundsVolume.

Try this!

Hey, so I when through and set up collision for the cube, I ticked collision in the show tab so you can see. It still isn’t showing green.

Hmm. Okay, that IS weird.

You may have changed a setting somewhere that’s hurting it, so I would say just make a new NavmeshBoundsVolume fresh. Make it very big, just so there’s no way it’s an optical illusion.

With all settings at default, there is not a reason it shouldn’t show a green mesh… You haven’t changed any nav settings in the project files menu, have you?

Hey, I made a new project and the navmesh seems to work there. It shows green when I press “P”. So I’m just going to start over using the new project.

Thanks for helping.
