I would like to share with you, one of our artists personal work. its a camera animation fly-trough of an exterior that is heavily populated with foliage.
The scene is comprised of a landscape that was created in World Machine. Foliage was parametricly populated via procedural foliage and Ladscape material.
Lighting is fully dinamic with heavy use of Distance Filed, no light mass baking. Foliage LOD’s are used.
In terms of camera frustum the scene peaks at 100 mil. faces.
4K resolution video with 60 fps render - was done on 1 machine. And it took around 6h to render 49000+ frames
Machine specs : Intel Core i7-4770S, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, 32GB RAM
