Nanite on laptop. Gradual lowering of GPU usage.

I was testing Nanite. In the built version FPS at the beginning is around 140 and starts to drop down to 15. It happens because utilisation of GPU is also goes down from 100 to around 10. Laptop is Lenovo Legion with integrated and dedicated graphics. What might be causing it?

It happens only in nanite scene. Calling r.nanite 1 restores fps to 140, but after several seconds it goes down again.

Does the issue also occurs in-editor? If yes then run console command stat gpu and profilegpu to see what is the bottleneck in your situation.

No, in editor everything seems to be normal. There is no bottleneck, it is an issue with the engine. GPU usage just diminishes over time.

Bump. Anybody has faced this issue?

Could it be a power plan is set to balanced / energy saving? Is the laptop running on batteries during gameplay or is it plugged in. It may lower it’s clocks on battery power.

It is plugged in, it is running on the highest performance mode.

Same here did you managed to solve it, nanite definitely has nothing to do with it, I have other scenes with nanite enabled models and everything works just fine on compiled game.

Then it looks like a CPU bottleneck perhaps, CPU is just not utilizing GPU due to its own overhead
