Nanite Landscape Displacement Not Working (UE 5.6 / 5.7)

Hi everyone. Hope you’re all having a great holiday!

I’m currently running into an issue with a landscape material created in Substance Designer. I haven’t worked with Unreal Engine in a while, so I might be missing something obvious.

Issue:
When I assign my dirt material to the landscape, the height information from the height map is not being applied.

What I’ve done so far:

  • Built the material in Substance Designer
  • Imported it into Unreal and assigned it to the landscape
  • Enabled Tessellation on the material
  • Adjusted the displacement magnitude in the material, but this produces no visible change

However, after building the data, the landscape behaves incorrectly and the height/displacement does not appear as expected (see images).

I also read that this might be a bug in UE 5.6.1, so I tested the same material in UE 5.7, but the issue still persists.
