My yearly Christmas short...

Greetings @TOYSTORYLAB !

It’s sooo unbelievably amazing that you completed this Christmas short in 11 hours! You couldn’t have taken many breaks!

I don’t know much about Krampus, but I think the basic premise is that this scary, horned beast visits misbehaved children and leaves them crappy gifts, while St. Nicholas leaves pleasant gifts for the well-behaved children.

The cinematography here is great! The setting of the Victorian-style abandoned house is perfect for the story. The opening sequence puts you in a festive, cheery mood as we follow the little elf on his journey. (Nice foreshadowing with the Santa painting! ) He is so cute carrying a tree that is still quite small compared to the environment around him. I didn’t expect for the elf to look up and see the towering figure behind the desk. I’m not going to lie, that roar shook me up inside!

As a horror movie fan, this short is quite refreshing! We need something dark to balance out all of this Christmas cheer! LOL! I do agree with Krampus. There is no need to pretend to be that which you are not. Be yourself! To that, I add, be the best version of yourself that you can be!

Did you create a storyboard for this short, or did you create the script and sequences as you developed along?

Merry Christmas! :christmas_tree: :cloud_with_snow:
Now off to binge watch the Krampus horror movies that I have yet to see!
