My work-place sequenced in Matinee [Facebook-link]

I re-created my the place where I work and did a little sequence with Matinee:

(The video is set to public, so you should be able to view it) Some things could be done better, but this is the first complete project I did UE4. Took me 3 weeks. I did the music in Reason. Hope you enjoy!

No feedback?

Hey man,

The quality of the video makes it difficult to really see what you’ve made properly. Perhaps upload a couple screenshots or a higher quality video? i find that unreal engine shines in the details

Yeah, the capture could be done better. I dont know how to capture the in-game only and not with the editor. I tried with NVIDIA`s ShadowPlay, but that could only capture either the whole screen or some part of it that I cant choose my self. So If anyone got some tips for capturing programs, it would be great

I did my capture using ShadowPlay and I think it was pretty good (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StYIWJm62Go)

The ‘trick’ is to package your project (https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Basics/Projects/Packaging/index.html) and then capture it.
I actually selected the ‘Allow Desktop Capture’ option on ShadowPlay because I wasn’t sure it would work on the game, but I think it works just fine.

I hope it helps!

Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/download.php) will record high quality. I think they have a watermark with the free version but it’s better than nothing. As I said before, UE4 shines in the details, you’ll get the best feedback when they are more visible

Software like fraps doesn’t compress very well and it will drop your fps while recording, if you have a matinee already setup just record a movie directly in the engine using the create movie button in Matinee and upload to Vimeo (better compression than YouTube). I would not recommend using Facebook to upload high quality videos.

Or you can use BaniCam to record screen regions (capture just the window) - http://www.bandicam.com/

Open Broadcaster Software is my new favorite way to save quick game captures.
