I have tried repairing the engine, creating a new project, installing version 5.3 of the engine, and changing the system language, but the same results have been encountered. I now suspect that it is a problem with the computer system and hope to have a solution. Thank you!
- which operating system?
- GPU & Driver version?
- screen resolution?

In my impression, there were no issues half a month ago as I did not upgrade the system driver
This is not a supported GPU. Are you sure you do not have another GPU in that machine? You can try finding the DPI toggle in the preferences - see if that changes anything. But the performance will be atrocious, especially at that resolution.
There are no other GPUs available. I have been using this GPU for development for a year now, and this situation suddenly occurred recently. When I opened the same project on another system of this computer, it displayed normally, but that was the previous Win10 system
Have you tried it?
Is his a laptop hooked up to a large screen?
This is another system on the same computer, with no hardware changes
This does not answer the 2 questions above. Is this a virtual machine?
No, this is another SSD of the computer. I just switched to that system
I do not understand what this has to do with anything. What do you mean by switching to the system? You installed the OS on a new machine? Installed old SSD with existing OS on a new machine? Could you please re-read the thread and answer the questions?
All of this is super confusing and nothing makes sense However, this still an unsupported GPU and not guaranteed to work. UE needs a dedicated GPU. intel UHD Graphics 770 is a tiny bit of silicon that is built into the CPU… It really cannot do much.
You can follow Intel’s recommendation on updating drivers:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html
If this PC had another GPU in the past, I’d recommend running this first:
What I mean is, I have two systems on the same PC with the same hardware. After encountering this issue on the Win11 system, I tried to open the project on another Win10 system. However, the screen settings did not change, only the system and corresponding drivers. Although UHD770 cannot have a high FPS, this situation did not occur during the year I used Win11 for development. However, my previous Win11 system was 22H2, and on January 14th, I reinstalled the 24H system
On January 14th, I just reinstalled the 24H2 system and did not install any graphics card drivers other than 770
Apparently the 24H2 is not great for UE5 with an unsupported GPU and new drivers then.
- roll back to previous OS version
- roll back drivers
- wait for 24H2 fixes
- get a cheap GPU that will still outperform 770 and provide stabilty
- if this is a laptop, consider and external GPU enclosure, these are somewhat awkward and pricy but do work
I doubt you will find many people with the same issue. I’ve seen some UI rendering issues, but not anything like what you’ve shown. Do try:
- DirectX11
- and / or:
- disable these:
Besides those, nothing comes to mind.
The current situation I have observed is that only the details panel issue occurs in the blueprint class, which is normal elsewhere
I’ve listed numerous things you could try. Do tell if any of them help.
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any change. I once tried installing an old version of the UE5.3 engine completely, and it was the same situation. I came to inquire because I couldn’t find the same situation online. In my opinion, it may be an Epic problem, but after using the fix, there hasn’t been any change. The system’s SFC fix is also fine. If there is no other way, I should reinstall Epic after reporting the bug
How is this an engine issue if you’re using an unsupported GPU?
One of the requirements is 8GB vRAM, 770 has 0 since it is using system RAM, it has none of its own. The fact that it was working earlier on is just a little titbit we should be happy about.
Roll back to the last thing that worked for you or wait for a miracle. Bummer
I must admit that the issue is as bizarre as they get.
Because when I used it on another system, it was completely normal, using 770 and 16GB of vRAM, and there was no problem
I also feel very strange
770 has 0 vRAM. You may need to go back to another system that worked for you. Clearly this is some weird incompatibility issue.
No, it’s just using memory as video memory
I logged out of Steam, but there hasn’t been any change. There are no other software available
Now I am restricted from replying, and I am puzzled as to why there are such restrictions
This is not a laptop, the system is the official version. I have installed software to control the fan, but it shouldn’t be a problem as it has been on all along and this situation has only recently occurred
If there is no other way, I will reinstall Epic tomorrow and come back to report the situation at that time
