My Senior Seminar in Physics

So My senior seminar for my Physics degree is a project in UE4 and it’s applications to physics. I am

1.looking for Peer Reviewed Journal articles for my research.
2. Still trying to nail down exactly what I will be doing (make a simulation, or make a physics game?)
3.Trying to impress a department full of Academics that will look askance at my project the moment an object clips through a wall.

So does anybody have any advice with these 3 points? So far I have put collision volumes on my character and turned objects into physics objects. I have had trouble trying to turn the walls that come with the UE4 (Or did I download those for the 3rd person tutorial?) into working physics objects.

Making a game with “physics” in it seems like kind of a weird thing to do if seeking a physics degree. The engine already has physics built in. Using Unreal will teach you programming, design and general work flow and trouble shooting. Unless you are going to program some really bad *** physics behavior I am not sure what you are really going to accomplish showing off a template game with physics working. Unless your department of academics don’t know anything about modern 3d design software (which wouldn’t surprise me).
