My quixel and unreal marked place dont open.

I’m pretty new to Unreal enginge and don’t know how to fix this problem.
When I click on Quixel bridge or Unreal markedplace non of them opens.
I tried to reinstall bridge and unreal but the problem still isn’t fixed .
does anybody has an Idea what I could do?^^

What version of UE5 are you using? Are you certain that everything is up-to-date? Also, just to confirm, only the buttons in UE5 are non-functional?

Hey there @BenBanBo22! Same question as Jman, but also are you launching it from inside the launcher itself? The bridge menu comes in as another window usually and in some (rare) cases it can be off screen. On the plugins page for it, is there an orange exclamation point on this?

Im using UE5 5.1.0 and yes only the quixel and unreal markedplace button in UE5 dont work

im launching unreal in the launcher and then Unreal starts and the Epic games launcher closes itself. Is that normal?

That part is normal. The marketplace does not open for me either if I try to open from the engine, quixel bridge does though.

So in the library location, does it show the plugin side of it requiring updates or if it’s been corrupted it may have a little orange exclamation point here.

nope

That is… quite odd. I’ve been digging around similar threads to see what other fixes have come up, but there’s not too many other than reinstallation which you’ve already done. Is there any logs/errors happening when trying to launch the it?

One thread mentions removing it from this plugin instance location, but then going to your vault and adding it from there.

I’ll pull some info from a closely related post (not 100% the same issue):

Check your Timezone Settings:

Make sure that both set time automatically and set timezone automatically are checked in order for Bridge to run efficiently. If these settings are not in place, you will be faced with a blank screen when you launch Bridge.

For Windows: Settings > Time and Language.

Local firewalls (e.g. Windows Firewall) or Antivirus programs:

Bridge requires admin rights (on Windows) and unrestricted internet access. Make sure local firewalls (e.g. Windows Firewall) or antivirus programs are not interfering with your connection or blocking Bridge and/or Unreal Engine 5.

Here is an article explaining how to allow/block applications in windows firewall How To Allow Or Block Apps In Windows Firewall in Windows 10.
Before running Bridge, right click on Bridge icon and select "Run as Administrator".

Bridge Clean Revamp

Some users have reported that a clean reinstallation of Bridge has fixed this issue for them. Please follow the steps below to revamp Bridge:

1. Close Unreal Engine, if already running!

2. Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\5.0 and delete the DerivedDataCache folder.

3. Go to Epic Games Launcher>Unreal Engine>Library, click on the "installed plugins" option under Unreal 5.0.2, and remove the plugin.

4. Now go to <Epic Games>\UE_5.0\Engine\Plugins and delete the folder titled "Bridge" from there.

5. Go back to Epic Games launcher>Vault and you'll see the option to reinstall Bridge from there. Install it to the Engine. (Make sure UE5 is closed)

6. Run Unreal Engine and see if the issue is resolved.

Another user had an issue where the window itself was just hidden and the only way to reset it was to try and launch it, check if the window exists by hovering the unreal icon in the taskbar, if it has another instance that’s blank looking you have to remove the plugin, launch the project so the window crashes, then close and reinstall the plugin. After this it should relaunch in a fresh window on the primary monitor.

same problem here. I can access the marketplace but not Quixel Bridge. I used the 5.2 before and can use the quixel bridge. but when I downloaded the 5.3.2, the quixel bridge didn’t work for both 5.3.2 and 5.2. I have tried verifying several times. and also tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstall several times, and also tried uninstalling unreal 5.2 and 5.3 and reinstalling several. the problems still exist now.

Hey there @lorenayzy! Welcome to the community! If none of the above worked out, I’d recommend sending a report in here (requires login to access the form).

I have no bridge - and it says “no plugins are installed” when I look in the library for this engine version. It directs to the marketplace but there is no bridge on the marketplace. And that Quixel Forum is closed. They closed it when they were supposed to launch Fab but then didn’t.

SOLUTION: For me, in the Library I scrolled down and Quixel Bridge was there as something I could ‘install to engine’. (It was NOT in the EDIT>PLUGINS at all, not even as an option, and wasn’t in the Marketplace). I’d never had to manually install it before - bizarre.
