I have been a Fortnite Island Creator for about 6 months now. Everytime I publish my maps, I do so from the Creator Portal after I publish the private version. Once the private version gets approved through the Creator Portal, the island gets added to the Discover page and can be found through the island code. HOWEVER, the islands I have posted can only be played on a private game. You cannot switch the game from Private to Public… This is super frustrating because I know my maps can grow if people can play with others. How do I fix this?
@JGetaway Hello! This is something that our Player Support team can investigate for you to give more information: Epic Games Technical Support & Customer Service | Epic Games
Is it from using team settings that disable matchmaking?
In Island Settings its Custom Teams and Dynamic Team Size that does this.
I’ve a similar issue too.
I have made over multiple inquires through that link about this issue, but I never received a solution. Is there any particular reason why someone’s map isn’t allowed to be played publically, only privately? I can’t be the only one with this issue.
So, what settings do I need to use to make sure these games can be played publicly?
Start by listing all items related to game start and spawning
Check your matchmaking type setting in island settings. It should be set to flexible teams.
If its not that, i believe using teams:custom can prevent public matchmaking too, is it any of those?
