My Projects and Engine Versiosn not appearing in my Launcher

As the title suggests, I was logged out of my Epic account and when I signed back in all but 2 of my projects were showing up. I signed in and out like 5 times and still nothing. I then uninstalled Epic Launcher and did a fresh install. Now no projects and no engine versions are showing up. This is EXTREEMLY disruptive right now can someone please help and can epic stop doing whatever it is they are doing with launcher updates that is causing this???

Hey @Palermo101  Have you been able to locate your projects in windows explorer where they were previously saved? If you can find them there, it would be worth trying to launch them from there, and then it might trigger the connection between the project and the Launcher.

Which engine versions do you have installed?

Thanks!

Hey thanks for the response! Yeah, all my previous project are all still saved on my computer and I can open them up fine. Even after I open them they are still not showing up in my launcher. Also another fristaiting thing its doing that on on starting up the launcher I get an alert saying “project files not associated with this launcher would you like to associate them” and after hitting yes nothing happens. So it sees them and knows they are there, but refuses to link them.

Here are a couple of other solutions you can try that worked for other users with similar issues in the past:

I’m in exactly the same boat. Following in hope of a fix. The other solutions aren’t ideal since my projects aren’t all in one location so the steps need to be repeated for every project

Solution: Fix the Launcher.

This thing hasn’t worked properly in over six months. None of these workarounds are useful.

I’ve had to rely on 3rd party solutions. AFAIC, the Launcher is dead. It’s seriously impacting my development. It’s really a waste of time now.

My 2 cents:

I deleted everything Epic/Unreal that

  1. I didn’t create myself
  2. Wasn’t associated with VS
  3. Wasn’t associated with Blender

I was hoping to get a fresh install.

The Launcher I install on the C: drive, the engines on A:, and the projects on B:.

I got the fresh Launcher install, but no engines or projects are detected. All orphaned.

I can open the editor from my A:/ drive.

A:/{filepath}/UE_5.x/Engine/Binaries/Win64/UnrealEditor.exe

With that open, I can browse to my project and open it that way.

But that’s it. No projects in the Launcher. No engine DLs. Nothing. Same for both 4.27 and 5.x.

EDIT: Even my laptop, with everything on the C: drive, has the same issues. The Launcher detects the 5.5.4 engine, but no projects are detected, and no DLs yet. Even when I launch 5.5.4 and browse to a project, it doesn’t get added to the Launcher project list.
