Hi all.
I’d like to first excuse by advance if my english isn’t good, i hope you’ll understand
I started discovering the engine 1 month ago and everything was working fine, i had really nothing to complain about.
But since a few days, i can’t work proprely because of annoying bugs. First ,without touching anything, the “corrupted data” message appeared, but i could still open existent projects from the library. So I was still working on my project until it closed on it’s own without any messages or bug-reports.
And from this moment i can’t open my project anymore : When I click on it, it does pop up the initializing window, and past 59 %, it disapears and nothing happens, no messages as previously, just the Epic Games laucher.
That’s all for my probleme.
I know lots of topics does already exist about the “corrupted data” message but i couldn’t find a satisfying awnser for my own probleme (i tried them out but no results), and I’d like to know if there’s a link with it and my editor crashe.
I hope you’ll read my message and be able to find an awnser.

Please follow these steps, even if you’ve already tried any of the following:
- With the engine and editor closed copy your Project Folder from Unreal Projects to your desktop as a BackUp, leaving a copy in Unreal Projects directory.
- In the Unreal Projects folder, in your original Project Folder, delete the Intermediate, Saved and Config folders
- In your Project Folder, double-click [your project].uproject to Launch
- If your project opens, right click on the Contents folder in the Contents Browser and choose: “Fix up redirectors in folder”
- Also run a map check on all levels and fix any errors that come up
If your project fails to open after Step #3 above, respond with whatever error messages appear, if any.

Since we have not heard back from you in a few days, we are marking this post resolved for tracking purposes. However, if you are still experiencing an issue with your project crashing at start up, please respond with what steps you followed from the response I posted previously and we will continue to investigate.

What do we do then? Everything was fine do I just put my maps etc back into the folders from the backup? I tried to do that and I cant get my stage back
