Some thoughts on this can be found here:
I think currently it goes like this…
If you came to UEFN from Fortnite Creative your going to see more freedom to do things than in normal FNC.
If you have come to UEFN from UE5 (or other commercial game engine), you are going to be disappointed with where UEFN is currently at.
Of course UEFN is beta and I am sure it will improve. I think however it will never be on par with other commercial game engines (or UE5) given its locked into Fortnite.
This is a game that evolves so fast that there is a ton of bugs that never get fixed. Any project you create in UEFN (or FNC) is always going to have the potential for bugs to be introduced with each Fortnite patch or update. Given the games evolution, this is something I never see changing until UEFN, Creative creations and devices can be locked to the client/server version an island is published on.
eventually it will be on par with UE5 did u not see their GDC?
One year later, the only content being generated with UEFN in the game consists of extremely low-effort maps with racist thumbnails. Regardless of one’s perspective, it is undeniably laughable. What is not amusing, however, is witnessing the sheer delusion of EPIC’s CEO in promoting falsehoods and engaging in hyper spending, coupled with a lack of ethical treatment towards the company’s employees from his own dumb decisions.
I’m not implying that the fault lies with EPIC workers, but I am unequivocally asserting that Tim Sweeney is selling a product that doesn’t currently exist and may never materialize.
Not true at all. There are plenty of good, high quality and high effort maps being put out. Stop paying attention to the clowns in the circus and your outlook will improve.
I’m not complaining to you, this is a Forum, not a Private messenger.
You called me delusional and overly defensive when I was simply giving you solid life advice that would turn you in a new direction. Maybe take a moment to breathe, reread your own post and see how aggressive you are towards somebody trying to help. Or don’t… I really don’t care.
Me too I was disappointed. I thought it was like a boosted UE5 but it is the opposite, I am wondering why they removed the blueprints ? maybe it is not possible to use them with verse ? At least if they remove them, they should make training or deep documentation about verse to learn it and why also they disabled plugins installation ?
It is not delusion. Sadly Epic joined bandwagon of making products for investors not users. Well we do get bone now and then, or byproducts of investors hype.
Most things are done for hype to get more investors, to sell Unreal epic needs more marketing buzzwords. Yes this strategy is working, but product is not quite where it should be. Priority is to get new buzzwords for speech/presentation then release them, and they mostly forget/neglect, or put on backburner.
UEFN is for learning verse, Yes it is very limited for what can be done in it.
