The button will not work its driving me crazy because i cant find another way to download the engine it makes me do it through the launcher and the launcher wont install it.
That is odd indeed… Have you completely uninstalled the launcher and re-installed (running as administrator)? If this continue to stink for you…you could download from GitHub and compile yourself.
Few Weeks Ago I had the same problem, Run ‘Epic Games Launcher’ as administrator.
That has solved the problem for me.
Hopefully it will solve the problem for you too.
I have this problem with 4.2.24 too
i had the same problem… i just restart the epic launcher without even as administrator. after click installer within after like 1 min it started.

The problem is Window Firewall. Deactivate or allow the Epic Laucher.
