My first experience with UE

I’ve been away from UE for quite some time, after being very active while I was working on a 3d platform project. I knew from the start, that this would never go past the prototype phase, and that what happened. It was a lot of fun to work on this and I’ve learned a lot. I have a rather week PC so it was a miracle that I could put this together.
At the beginning I’ve used blueprints, but then I migrated most of my blueprints to C++.
I’ve created all the art, from models to textures, and I also learned a lot in that department, especially in the texture department. Note that this is just a prototype, so It doesn’t look or plays that well. The animations are too stiff for instance, and it looks boring has hell :D.

Anyways, this is an abandoned project. I’m waiting for a new idea and maybe I’ll get back to unreal. This time I want to do something simpler and develop a full working game.

Hey there @Limanima,

Hope you’re doing well and enjoying your week so far!

The charm of stylized pirate games always seems so fun to create. It’s a shame that its an abandoned project but maybe your next one will be even better with this experience under your belt!

Happy developing when you get the inspiration for your next project. Sending you all the support and luck in the meantime
