Looks like they took your mode and applied 1 level of subsurf modifier to make it appear different. Moose nostrils are in the exact same spot but with 8 verts instead of 4.
You should submit a DMCA Takedown Request. If you subdivide your mesh in Blender 1 step you should be able to determine for sure if they are exactly the same.
@Krabworks thanks for the reply, exactly, i guess he ripped all the models from sketchfab, put a subdivision level 1, change the colors and voila, a new model! if you check my collection at skethfab there all there almost all there.
Also you cant spend hundreds of hours to model the animlas and then sell them all for 9$.
Even this one who is unique at the markets is there
Welcome to the world of 3D model selling. Those problems exist unfortunately on all 3d model plattforms. I hope EPIC reacts fast, but also unfortunately i have doubts.
@Polynox exactly, he just changed the colors and put a subdiv to make them look different. @Spaehling Ι hope for a reaction from EPIC, but I don’t think it will happen @elemento i dont thing that he bought the models, he propably ripped ot downloaded from pirate sites @Krabworks i have no idea how to do this
Few days ago I spotted this user uploaded an asset pack of one seller, I recognized the asset and texted the seller about this thief. As I known the seller reported this thief right after in support. But a few days have passed and this thief is still in the store and managed to upload yesterday another stolen asset pack from this seller!
Its a shame fab allowed this and also is delaying with banning this thief. The longer thieves are allowed to be in the store and scamming customers, the more reputation damage it can cost for Fab.
It is worse thing to have,
If this continues, then I afraid alot of Sellers won’t (atleast High Quality one) release their Assets altogether on Fab.
Imagine working hard for months on Project and another Developer Steal your Asset and Sells it on same Platform (Not on some Random Piracy Site) as your own Competition and even after Reporting the Asset, it will be Approved again and again after Takedowns (and Scammer won’t even get Permanent Banned).
Some Scammer will steal Free Products and Price it 100-200 USD while others will steal your Product and Sell it at 50-70% of your Price (If you are not known / popular Creator then it is your Direct Competition, since Buyers can’t differentiate between Original and Stolen)
On the Other hand, Buyers will get into Legal Trouble paying for Wrong Asset unknowingly.
This is not good sign for Fab, If they don’t take Strict Action then everyone will loose Trust from Fab (Buyers and Sellers both).
Well, they’ve already lost me as an paying customer solely because of the wishlist issue. And the noticeable lack of content moderation had already cost me at least 2 or 3 assets in my library
FAB won’t do anything in situations like this (unless it’s really obvious, like people selling spider man or something like that). They expect you to pursue legal action against the other seller, and they will abide by the judge’s decision. Unfortunately, legal action is extremely expensive, making it an unfeasible option for small studios.
In cases like this, they typically take the content down. Often, when I see complaints about someone stealing from a well-known IP, when I check the link it’s already been removed. The real issue is when people steal from smaller studios, Epic doesn’t seen to care about that, they expect sellers to go through the legal process and prove the content is stolen.
