my asset got sanctioned for being (Historical Educational Content)

Summary

so i tried to update one of my already aproved asset because it has some texture issue that i want to fix, after submitting, i got email that basicly said

"After careful review, we have determined that “my asset name” is classified as Mature according to the Epic Games Content Guidelines, which are available here. The reason for this categorization is because your product was found to contain Historical Educational Content.

so then i appealed it, but then i got an email that basicly said the appeal was rejected, and the sanction still remain, and i cant appeal again

this iss not make any sense, my asset is not an Historical Educational Content. even if it is, it doesnt make sense if that considered as mature content.

Hi @Indra7777777 . I recommend reaching out to support to better understand the best path forward.

This is happening to me too, most of my assets were migrated from Sketchfab (and I never got any warnings/removal), but here on FAB I’ve already got 2 sanctions and removal of my assets. My assets are not violating any of the rules and guidelines provided by FAB.

I’ve appealed and never got an answer.

So far, FAB is being really disappointing.

Hi Abby, i did that, it takes alot of waiting, but the sanction has finally been lifted. I’m not sure if the bug that caused it has been fixed or not though.

maybe we should avoid using tags like “traditional” or “Ancient” from our listings. That seems to be what’s triggering the automatic sanction.

Hi @Indra7777777 . The sanction would have been applied by a human (not automatic), so we’re taking a look to see where we can improve our processes. Thanks for your patience and I’m glad it’s all sorted out now.
