I noticed this when I was trying to do a ledge climbing tutorial from the internet, but it has become very obvious when I’m trying to have my character sit on a chair.
I’m thinking the problem is the fact that I have a 3rd person skeleton, on a first person project. Maybe something with the gameplay mode, I have no idea.
In this picture, the “New location” works fine (the character is moved on the chair), but he (=the montage) still follows the rotation of the camera (which is frozen, because the Inputs are disabled when the montage is playing).
Does anyone know why this happens?
PS: This image is taken from the LEVEL BLUEPRINT, not the character blueprint
I fixed it. Turns out the Rotation Yaw on my character was the problem, and you can diable it in Level Editor like I did here.
I hope it helps anyone if you run into this
Edit:But don’t forget to put it on afterwards
Hey man, first thing I’ve come across relating to sitting in chairs for a first person character with 3rd person mesh attached. Any chance you could screen shot the rest of the blueprint or upload the project? Been desperately needing this. Thanks in advance!
Sure I’ll help you, just remind me in a couple days because I am awat at the moment
Bro, just go to your animation (not animation montage) and there in additive settings, set additive anim type to Local Space and set the base pose type to Selected Animations Frame, and there select your animation, which is the same but you have to select. And that’s all. Have a nice day my friend.
