Hello! I try to play videos (exr and mov) with alpha channel in ue 5.1 . I did as instructed and had blend mode of material in masked. The alpha is recognized but the footage is bright as a light and i have no idea why? Color space os srgb. Any help is MOST welcome!!!
glow is classic premultiplied vs straight alpha mixup. if your file is premultiplied and you use alpha blend (straight) it will look overbright/glowy. try switching blend mode — the widget/material needs Alpha Composite for premultiplied, Alpha Blend for straight. also dont use Masked, use Translucent. alpha video player from fab Alpha Video Player - Transparent Video UMG Widget & UI Media Component (UE5) | Fab has both modes as a dropdown so you just switch it, no material rewiring. srgb on, exr/prores both fine once the mode matches
