Mute Game Needs Sound. What Do You Guys Use?

Hello, newbie question here. Me and my brother are currently using GIMP for our art, and Blender for our models, but we’re stumped when it comes to sound.
So I’ve decided to take drastic action! … And ask you guys what you use.
We’ve so far looked at FL Studio as a means of making music, but I’m still not sure about it.
And we can’t decide between getting a Tascam Recorder, or lugging around a Blue Yeti with a lap top and audacity on it to record our sound effects.
Any suggestions on recording software or equipment would be appreciated!

For basic sounds you can just use a good micro and audiacity, otherwise I personally would go for some high quality micros and ://www.digitaltrends/home-theater/best-music-editing-software/

I use Adobe Audition for basic sound editing and compositing.
If its a more complex audio project, I use ProTools (not the express version) with an M-Audio interface.
A microphone that I can recommend is the Neumann TLM 102.
