[Mutable] Handling Long Compilation Times with Mutable in Editor

Hi there,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone has tips or advice on handling the long compilation times we’re experiencing, particularly when converting textures in the Editor with Mutable. We’re aware of the “Disable Mutable Compile in Editor” option, which we’ve asked other developers to enable if they’re not working with customizable objects. However, as content creators who need to work with these objects, the process has been really slow.

I’m wondering if there are any setup configurations we might have missed or any general tips you can offer to improve the situation. We’re currently working in Unreal Engine 5.2 and planning to upgrade to 5.4 soon. I know there are significant updates for Mutable in 5.4, but any suggestions to improve our current workflow would be greatly appreciated.
