Mutable 'Clip With UV Mask' node crashes editor in 5.6.1

Just as the title says, tested in empty project on Manny with an arbitrary black/white texture: add a skeletal mesh → mesh section → mesh component, then add a texture → clip with UV mask, set the latter to clip the mesh section node by tag, then crash occurs upon compile. It seems it’s having an issue loading the texture, since it runs in to a check(false) in an image loader task.

Would also test on 5.6.0 but it’s not available in the launcher anymore for download :poop:

Hopefully Epic will backport the fix to earlier versions aside from the scheduled 5.8 fix :slight_smile:

Thanks for sharing! It would be a terrible shame to have a 100% broken, crashing feature for 2 major versions in the engine, yet it’s not unimaginable. UE does not seem to be about gaming anymore. (except Witcher 4, I’m pretty sure they would fix it for them overnight)
