Music Video Skeleton King

Hey everyone!

The music video for my track “Skeleton King” is finally released!
I am proud of my first music video and I hope you will enjoy it.
Sadly YT has a pretty aggressive compression algorithm, so please watch in 4K.

To make it this far was not easy, after countless days of frustrating weird glitches with hot pixels/fireflies, reflections, color issues, lighting problems, redoing shots because of my own dumb decisions, timing issues and the list goes on and on…

So I’m very happy to release it.

Artstation:

Hello @Eizencursed !

This was an amazing release. The visuals syncing up with the music fits perfectly, and there’s this balance of beautiful sound with immersive visuals which I really like when it comes to this genre. If you’re looking for a fun light show, I use Govee lights behind my monitor and watching the light trace around the area is amazing. I’m a little tempted to see if I can get my string LEDs to make a mini show with this music video because I feel like the beat is just perfect!

Will you have more music videos like this for your work?

Hey the moss man,

thanks for your kind words. I tried my best to get the music to sync up to the visual events happening at the same time. Personally I like it, when the visuals compliment the music and vice versa. It makes it more dynamic I think, but that is just my personal opinion.

I love DNB, but also strong Electro beats and similar. So I might sometimes sway in genres, since my inspiration/idea kind of drives the genre I’m producing music in. And the music mostly defines, how the “story” of the visuals will turn out  .

Very cool with your LED setup, I bet this is very nice to look at. Audio visualization is just really cool, however in this particular video it messed me pretty much up, since I had runtime shots, which I couldn’t properly record, since they couldn’t be recorded in sequencer, so I had to re-shot them. I’m very glad you enjoyed it and you took the time to comment, or else it feels like I’m in an empty room and hyping for nothing, which could potentially be very weird  .

I have actually 2 other music videos already in production, but I don’t have an ETA. One of them is actually done around 70% and it will feature a DnB Track, with my original character called “Neras”, a female succubus. I hope I will get this video done as soon as possible.

One thing, which makes me sad though is that Youtube is very aggressive on my videos, regardless of settings, encoding and similar. I guess I need to plan my videos better to not have intrusive elements like soft gradients, too much noise/noisy textures, too much granular details, etc.

Anyway, glad you liked it!

Hello again @Eizencursed !

I know how that can be, haha. However, sharing your media on here is a great way to spread your creativity. Also, it’s really sad having to limit oneself because of YouTube, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Despite being a great free platform for creators, one wishes it could be a little better sometimes.

I am also VERY excited to hear about these upcoming music videos. I will do my best to keep an eye out for them, but you have my full permission to tag me in it when it’s ready and posted. I’ll even throw a subscribe to see if I can catch them a bit early as well!

Keep up the amazing work and remember to take care of yourself when you can! :heart_hands:

@The_M0ss_Man

Maybe I can find better video sharing sites, where the quality is much better and then share the links to them. But regardless, I will try to not be limited by my creative choices too much, but just look out for certain things which I know could be problematic. It’s a compromise, but one I can live with. I will also try to upload short test clips to youtube for certain parts to precheck, what is actually an issue or not. I guess I have to do, what each content creator does, throw things at the wall and see, what sticks  .

I will gladly tag you, when I release them. I post occassionally on my artstation page artworks, but also WIP music video footage/screenshots, so if you like this kind of stuff, you can check it out. I think I will post again something for the upcoming music video on Saturday (I’m from Germany, so it’s gmt+2:00).

So again, thanks for the encouraging words and take care too :heart_hands:
