Multiple views of asset between editor and play-in-game

I ■■■■■ a asset to my scene, grouped them. The final view is

But when start-in-editor, multiple views if this pier are shown - looks like previous locations:

Even after restarting the editor this happens.

Hey there @WillemGr! That’s an interesting bug! Are there multiple actors? When in PIE can you select or otherwise interact with the duplicate or is it purely visual?

Just saw you post AFTER I deleted the double items, so I cannot answer that question but I’ll try to reproduce it. However, I found something weird in the outliner…As I said, the scene is set up in world Partition, I have one of 4 regions loaded - and found in the outlined assets with EXACTLY the same name, but unloaded 0 because they are in an unloaded region. However, some are in the loaded region, and still not loaded.

It’s even weirder. I add two separate static meshes, but handled them separately. These stay visible in the editor and in PiE mode. Saved the level, and reopened it (not closing it explicitly) and the assets I just edited are NOT loaded. When I pin them, I can access them.

I grouped them but if I selected either of them, I didn’t get a gizmo….ungrouped them, grouped them again, now it works…

Moving them separately or as a group is no problem, that’s OK now

Will try if duplicating is the issue…because that was the original situation.

It sounds like it might be an issue between the way external actors work and the level instances grouping. There was a bug during the earlier stages of World Partition that would do something similar. Has it cropped back up since you had deleted the extra instances?

Strangely enough, no. But there are more weird issues in this project, maybe it is related?

as I stated, the project is set up in a world-partition environment.

When I load a region, I would expect that assets that are located in that region (in whole or part) are loaded. But the weird thing is that some assets that are part of the region, stay unloaded instead of being loaded into that region, and I also found that some assets, completely outside the loaded region are loaded in stead of unloaded… I thought it may be caused by the same name (in the outliner) but it seems not consistent.. Not really a problem because these do show up when PiE

Odd, well if it hasn’t re-surfaced since and you have a workaround, we’ll have to wait and see. If it does resurface, a full bug report is definitely warranted.
