Position: LEVEL DESIGNER
Location: Remote with possibility of Relocation to our Netherlands studio
Type: Full-Time Paid
We are looking to hire an experienced Level Designer who will be responsible for level creation, AI Encounters, and scripting. Work with the Game Designers and Programmers to design, implement and maintain levels and encounters. Collaborate with Programmers and Artists to ensure effective integration of game design, art, animation, and technology. Troubleshoot design elements; implement bug fixes and iterations based on need. Work with the testing department throughout the project to ensure the game plays and performs as intended. [HR][/HR]
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify requirements necessary for the creation of 3d environments and execute it in Unreal Editor
- Visually communicate the function of a space using basic shapes
- Design and prototype engaging gameplay scenarios that will enhance the player’s experience
- Work closely with the art and design teams to create and refine the gameplay experience
- Integrate and participate in the direction and gameplay narrative
- Implement and script combat and cinematics
- Gather the team’s feedback on fun and gameplay inside the levels
- Respect deliverables, pipeline, naming conventions, folder structure, and project best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
- Very creative and able to work well in a creative environment
- Takes ownership and possess strong problem-solving skill
- Ability to give and receive feedback
- Excellent knowledge of the video game industry
- Positive attitude and passionate about working on a team
- At least 6 months of professional experience
- Experience working on MMORPG and/or large scale urban level is a plus
