Hi all,
Trying to figure out if this is a bug. I’m trying to play a level sequence in a Multi-User session AND at the same time on a different PC Record the tracking data from our livelink using the Take recorder. We are running the Multi-User session on 2 workstations and 2 rendernodes rendering a nDisplay for our LEDwall. So all clients are connected to the MU Session.

If you are in a Multi User session, and open a level sequence it will open and play on all clients connected to that MU session. This works fine. It plays on all workstations and on our LEDwall through nDisplay

Now I want to record our livelink tracking data using the Take Recorder.( we are tracking physical camera for virtual productions) Ofcourse the Take recorder also makes use of the level sequencer, So back in 4.27 we used to disable these buttons on the recording pc.
So when the take recorder was writing in the new level sequence it just created it wouldn’t overwrite the level sequence that was playing on the other clients. -
Now in 5.1.1, when disabling these buttons they disable on all connected clients, instead of only the pc you are disabaling them on. and afterwards you can’t turn them back on again.( this seems like a bug) This behaviour stops the playback on our nDisplay, with no ability to turn it back on without restarting the scene through switchboard. Even just opening the Take recorder window make the playback stop on the nDisplay client.
A workaround we found is starting the recording pc first through switchboard, then turning off all sync options in the sequencer and only then launching the rest of the clients…
this is ofc less then ideal.
Are we doing something wrong or did they change the way Multi-User handles level sequence playback?
Thanks in advanced!
