Out of the box, multiplayer can have up to a 20x20km per map but may have precision issues near borders. In single player you can change the world origin, essentially moves entire world coordinates, to create an almost infinite world.
Thanks allot ArxMods,
So how can i measure 20x20km on he map in the editor?
Also, how can I make “portals” to other multi-player maps so I can continue the Levels?
Your photo shows the measurement near bottom left. You would just make a trigger volume and set Open level to go to another map. A 20x20km map is fairly big and most open world games in unreal don’t use that much space. GTA 5 is 13x7km, skyrim 8x8km, as example. If you are needing something more, then you would implement your own custom solution…
Thanks a ton ArxMods.
So the Map in the picture is 10km and I can double the size. Got it.
Wow…so skyrim is only 8x8km? That puts it in to perspective…
I should have no problem at all.
Thanks for easing my concerns…
