I released my little free game Where Is My Hammer recently. I found out then the hard way that the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable is required for it to play. Otherwise you get this missing .dll error. But now I have someone that still gets the same missing MSVCR120.dll error even though he has it in his windows 32bit folder. Any ideas?
Here is some more on it: “Okay well this is strange. After installing the microsoft C++ Redistributable you linked me to and then running your game exe it comes up with a different error:
“This program can’t start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.””
You need to install visual studio express , it will fix the issue.
Let me know how you go
Why should the players have to install that?
Sorry , misread OP , I’m assuming you aren’t experiencing the issue?
