Moving to UE4.8

Hi everybody,

I notice 4.8 got launched yesterday, and normally I don’t bother too much with updates, but the press release to this looks somewhat amazing. The thing that interests me most is the grass and foliage update.

I’m making my game on version 4.7.6.

How does one, erm, migrate their work to a new engine update? Can you migrate a whole level?

I’m happy with re-coding most of my Blueprints, but is it possible to move my whole map over to the new engine? I’ve never attempted this kind of thing before.

well you don’t migrate a specific level to the newer engine version instead you update the whole project, this thread should be useful to you, also you should always use the “create a copy” option when you update just to be on the safe side.
