Hi,
I’m just wondering if it is possible to move the different nodes along one axis at a time when dragging around. In other words I want to be able to drag a node or comment box up/ down or left/ right so that they stay lined up with my other nodes/ comment boxes.

No, but you can use arrow keys to nudge nodes around. There’s also a bunch of node align commands available from the context menu - these can be keybound allowing one to tidy wires up and arrange nodes (more) neatly.
